The least part of the series, actually already well articulated above by DavidWesker.

For some reason, the creators decided it would be a good idea to just ignore the previous installment altogether. The part where many well-known characters from the game series were introduced, such as Leon Kennedy and Ada Wong. The most famous Resident Evil character, Chris, also no longer seems to exist. Instead, we get a group of uninteresting survivors. And Wesker and Claire don't make you happy in this film either

The film is full of forced jump scares and bad action scenes. An attempt is made to apply a Bourne style of editing, but as viewers we don't see what is happening at all. As a result, the depth, which you should see well in a 3D film, does not come into its own. As mentioned above, the beginning is also very dark.

Are there also positive things to report? Yes, of course! I continue to think Milla Jovovich is a cool action heroine and Ian Glen also played his villain role very well. I also didn't like the ending of the film and therefore of the series.

I'm usually in favor of cutting as little as possible in the action, but if you do it anyway, so be it. Had to think about Neveldine and Taylor's work regularly and damn... it's just the editor of Gamer (2009) ! A very smart, conscious choice by Anderson to involve someone with such a clear style, it takes this last part to a level that the rest (unfortunately) could not match. An interesting style exercise for me. This is hyper-edited action as it should be; in a constant flow and with a reinforcing function. Don't cut for the sake of cutting ( *cough* Taken 3 *cough* ). Anderson shuts it down on a grand scale and makes no compromises!
