I usually find thrillers set in a confined space worthwhile, and this mathematical Spanish mindfuck is no exception. The plot is satisfyingly constructed and thankfully never becomes too complex, given my underdeveloped sense for mathematical problems. Made with limited resources, the acting is excellent, and the film is captivating both content-wise and visually.

I'm a fan of escape room horror/thrillers and deadly games. So, I started this one with a lot of anticipation. The film starts off well, and the first half is pretty good, but towards the end, it's quite disappointing, which brings the film's overall score down.

An intriguingly constructed mystery with excellent acting and strong direction from Luis Piedrahita and Rodrigo Sopeña. Fermat's Room excels in maximizing its minimal surroundings, creating an interesting narrative. The tension builds quite nicely in the second half, some creative twists, and the ending is pleasing enough. However, some plot twists are a bit simple, and the characters (introduced as highly intellectual) often resort too quickly to frustration and coincidence. Nevertheless, a solid project with a lot of potential that will keep you entertained for an hour and a half.
