The Love Bug plot
"Herbie will honk his way into your heart."
Herbie is a self-willed Volkswagen Beetle who is mistreated by car salesman Peter Thorndyke. The car is bought by Jim Douglas, who wants to use it for car races. If that proves successful, Thorndyke tries to get the car back.

This one was on TV and it had been a long time since I'd seen it.
Okay, the film is no longer the youngest, but oh, how dated this film is. The special effects were especially disappointing.
The story itself is entertaining and entertaining enough for the whole family. The humor is rather slapstick and it will especially appeal to the children.
Well, it's a pity that the visual was a bit disappointing, but in terms of family film it is certainly acceptable.

Reasonable film about a race car driver who buys a car with a mind of his own. The film that turned the Volkswagen Beetle into an iconic car. Quite entertaining here and there, but also a bit corny. Some familiar faces from the Disney stable of the time. The best moments are in the last, long race.
