Strangers plot
In 'Strangers' the paths of the young Israeli Eyal and the young Palestinian Rana cross in Munich for the final of the World Cup. They are immediately attracted to each other. But does their love have a chance? They do talk about politics, but they spare each other's feelings as much as possible. Suddenly, Rana leaves for Paris. Eyal, hopeful, decides to go after her. In the less nimble second part of the film, Eyal learns more about Rana's complicated life. The second Israel-Lebanon war breaks out. News of Israeli violence against Hezbollah influences the time Eyal and Rana spend together in 'neutral' Europe.
