The Oath plot
"Two Men. Bound to Al-Qaeda. Divided by Fate."
Abu Jandal is a taxi driver in the city of Sana'a in Yemen. His brother-in-law Salim Hamdan is a prisoner in Guantanamo Bay and one of the first to appear before the controversial military court. Their lives became entwined when Jandal became Osama Bin Laden's bodyguard and Hamdan became the driver. In 'The Oath' a sketch of how their lives developed from the time they left for Afghanistan and started working for bin Laden. Hamdan eventually ended up in Guantanamo Bay and had to appear before the military court. Jandal now lives as a free man in Yemen and laments the fate of Hamdan whom he recruited.
