Le Roman d'un Jeune Homme Pauvre plot
Maxime van Champcey, a ruined Marquis, goes to work as an asset manager for the wealthy Laroque family and falls in love with their daughter Marguerite. She also loves him, but rejects him because she thinks he is a womanizer. However, through a surprising discovery, Maxime regains his fortune, which was apparently taken from him by Marguerite's grandfather. Now nothing stands in the way of a romance between the two young people. They both let their hearts speak.
