Coplan Sauve Sa Peau plot
Francis Coplan, a secret agent, is brought to Istanbul by his old flame. Her brother, a mad scientist, is working on an invention that could destroy the world, and it's up to Coplan to stop it. When the girl is murdered, her twin sister decides to collude with the mad scientist.

A 60s detective-esque film where different genres collide in a surreal story. Brooks plays his tenacity with verve. The whole thing has its edges. The moment Tapart arrives at the castle is humorous, a la de fúnes, Kinski as a sculptor with feminine beauty, and Barbie dolls fetishized in a Passolini-esque way. Patriarchal behavior and intense love contrast. All in all, an interesting film that can hardly be placed in a specific genre. The close-ups of the faces are telling. And the finale...well, I'd say watch it.
