"Putting the funk into the dunk."
The 1970s. Jackie Moon (Will Ferrell) is the owner, coach and top player of the Flint Michigan Tropics basketball team. The Tropics play in the American Basketball Association, which is about to merge with the NBA. Only four teams from the ABA will advance to the next season in the NBA, and Moon is determined to pilot the Tropics to these top four.

Hmm, checked this one out, but if you're expecting a second Blades of Glory, you're in for a treat. This movie has also become a "sports movie" again, but not a comedy. Comedies are of course always difficult to judge, but I didn't find the film really funny and if there are still jokes, they are very dry. The story isn't that special or surprising and the ending is so predictable.
If you don't know what to do for 90 minutes, you can watch this one, but if I had seen it in the cinema or bought it on DVD, I would still feel cheated. The cast was fine, as was the music.
Do not expect a good comedy, but a classic film about losers who become heroes.

It was all a bit too thick, so it wasn't funny anymore.
I usually double over Ferrell's head right away, but that was not the case in this film.
They didn't know which way to go. Shall we make it a drama or a comedy?
And they did have such a dramatic team that even with the arrival of an old NBA player it was not possible to achieve a 4th place at this level at all, but hey it remains a movie. I thought at least little of it.
