Curse of the Stone Hand plot

"WHAT LURID SECRET -- LIED BEYOND THAT HIDDEN DOOR!"

There is a curse on the Kent estate, where stone hands are found in the ground. Owner Robert Brown is driven into financial ruin and decides to join a secret organization that will pay his debts. Only if every time someone joins the organization should another member be killed. When at some point Robert's name is chosen, he turns out to be surprised when his best friend is the one chosen to kill him. Years later, the house is owned by a couple with a son, who grows up to be a sadistic tyrant after the death of his parents.
