"God help us if they rise again!"
dr. Garondet is the new doctor in a small French village, where no one wants anything to do with Professor Orloff, a reclusive nobleman who lives in a nearby castle. One rainy night, a little boy shows up at Garondet's house and asks the doctor to come to the castle immediately. Against the advice of his maid, Garondet leaves for Professor Orloff's castle.
