Nice sequel to the first original fantasy movie. The sets and costumes certainly make up for it. The acting isn't exactly bad either. Entertaining, but a bit unnecessary. He's not bad but I still think they should have left him on part 1. Still a poor 3.0.

An enjoyable film, less than the first part but still more fun than I expected. Story is a bit easy but definitely doable for a children's film, I also thought the settings, the costumes and the make-up (special effects) were quite nice for that time. Certainly nothing disturbing. It's been a while since I've seen the first one, so maybe that's why I'm not so fond of this one. Actors also did well. But I have to say that the first movie had a lot more magic and a much better atmosphere. Still, it was a lot of fun to watch

3.5*

A pleasant reunion with Fantasia, in which the sets feel familiar and a number of familiar faces return. It's a shame that Barret Oliver is no longer in the game, but at the same time he wasn't the strongest link in the first film anyway. In fact, it's almost the same principle here. However, in the battle against 'the nothing' (which is a battle in favor of daydreaming) we saw many wonderful situations, sets and characters. The sequel, while battling 'the emptiness' (an equally impossible battle against 'forgetting'), has to make do with a higher budget but noticeably less fantasy and inspiration. It's ironic that a movie like The Neverending Story has to have this happen. The action is fun and the story is good. Of course this is less impressive than the first part, but it's a shame to see how negative the response is here. Nice kids movie.
