Den Brysomme Mannen plot
40-year-old Andreas (Trond Fausa Aurvaag) wakes up on a bus that takes him to a perfect city. He gets a nice house, a good job, a wonderful wife. Everyone is cheerful and friendly, but Andreas does not feel at home in the perfect, emotionless world.

Mediocre film in which a man ends up in a perfect world, in which people have no emotions. Slow, little dialogue and stylized portrayal, makes this a rather strange film. Because of the mysterious aspect, you as a viewer are curious about the course.

I consider Scandinavian cinema very important when it comes to creating atmosphere and cinematography. You have to love it, because it often feels depressed and cool. Further keywords for this film are clearly absurdism and strangeness. And perhaps philosophically. A wonderful 'different from usual' film. With one of the most awkward opening shots: a bored tongue-tied couple dutifully half-eating each other with eyes open, including loud smacking noise 
The first half hour is very strong; the setting and black humor do the job. What are you looking at? What happens to the main character? After that, the film wanders a bit and the emotionless world becomes a bit annoying, but this (b) seems to be the phase to get the cherries out of the pie as a viewer: as soon as you start to realize what you're watching is no more wandering, but a great viewing experience. The last shot is very strong. The message is clear. Although there could be different interpretations.
It's hard to say anything more substantive about it without spoilers 
My interpretation: he's dead; his finger grows back and suicide is meaningless. He is welcomed into purgatory; it's clean, friendly, but emotionless, tasteless. Most people are happy there, but he lacks the earthly, can't handle this place. He finds the way to heaven. In the final shot he appears to be left in an (even) more terrible place (Hell. Bitter cold instead of sweltering hot). If only he had been happy in purgatory just like everyone else...

Nice, but not really captivating. The best part are the recognizable points from Oslo, including the 'tunnel of light' at Nydalen metro station. I went there every day for a while. In terms of humor, the film is very undercooled.
