Ningen Jôhatsu plot
Tadashi Oshima disappears in April 1965 a few months before marrying Yoshie Hayakawa. She reports to the police, but after a year and a half there is still no news. During that period, director Imamura gets to know Yoshie and wants to look for Oshima with her. The journey throughout Japan is captured on video. During the journey they talk to people who have known Tadashi Oshima. The more the makers try to find out the truth, the more they get entangled in a complicated web.
