A film that has to appear a lot more realistic after part 3, but which still denies any kind of logic. Furthermore, part 4 is perfect for sociological research into the Republican nature of Death Wish, much more so than the previous films. Drugs turn even the most ruthless citizen into a prostitute or a criminal (even when they're thirteen!), guns are good, the bulk of the bad guys are not representative of the white and successful model citizen (while the ethnicity of the crooks so far is very diverse). has been, here the corrupt cop is even a Japanese, certainly no whiter!) and the law must especially be taken into their own hands again if the police fail. Well, you can burn the film for it. I like that flash. Nuance is best when it's well present, or completely absent, like here. Deat Wish 4 isn't as fun as part 3, which is by far the most entertaining. Part 1 is still the best. Charlie Bronson is cool.

Mediocre film in which an architect wants to put a stop to the increasing drug problem in the city. In itself more of the same, but the level is simply a bit lower than the previous parts. The credibility is soon hard to find and the fairly lousy dialogues don't help either. This is not good, but still quite entertaining here and there. Just not 3.0 stars.

Paul Kersey is pissed off when his near-stepdaughter dies of a cocaine overdose. Time to deal with the drug-dealing scum. Clumsy and not very subtle fourth part in this series, with a script that is limited to the bare essentials but still becomes interesting thanks to the fake Nathan White character . Bronson also seems to be on autopilot but I still thought it was a nice movie.. oh well those Death Wish movies are just fun to watch
