"The vacation you'll never forget - no matter how hard you try."
Jack quits his job with the fire brigade to work at a small vacation camp in the Caribbean. He becomes Ernest's companion and together they try to popularize the camp. But Hayes wants to buy up the entire island and tries to deal with the two.

Nice surprise and an underrated film from Robin Williams' long career.
Crazy, dry, lame and black humor all mixed together! The story is kept nice and simple but good use is made of beautiful atmospheric shots on the Caribbean island and of nice catchy reggae!
Club Paradise radiates a wonderful summer feel-good atmosphere.

Sometimes a good joke came along here but also a lot of lame and outdated ones. I didn't know this comedy with Robin Williams. Seems like a kind of American "Les Bronzés"... The couleur locale is provided by reggae man Jimmy Cliff, who performs a few numbers. What bothered me most were those horrible tourist clichés: limbo dancing, nudist beaches, smoking ganja, those two horny nerds played by Moranis and Levy. Those holidaymakers are mainly portrayed as pigs and cultural barbarians. I also found the whole soap opera around that planned resort and the coup d'état more annoying than funny.
