Akai Tenshi plot
During the Sino-Japanese War in 1939, the angelic army nurse Sakura Nishi is raped by her patients. She is sent to the frontline in China, where she has to help Doctor Okabe with amputations in field hospitals. Sakura falls in love with the morphine-addicted surgeon, and together the couple seek solace in each other when the brutality and carnage that surrounds them threatens to wipe out their humanity.
