Evan Almighty plot
"A comedy of biblical proportions"
God (Freeman) asks new-fangled Congressman Evan Baxter (Carell) to build an Ark to save the world from a second great flood, just as Noah was once instructed. Evan's family initially thinks he has a mental breakdown, but over time it turns out that there are indeed Biblical motives at play.

Nice family movie, nothing wrong with it.

I thought this was an okay movie. It doesn't get really funny anywhere and this isn't anything special in terms of film (although CCR on the soundtrack is always good), but Carell does a great job, pace is fine, locations are atmospheric and it's nice that at the end he is right too and a deluge comes. Really such a movie that is nice to watch from the couch, but does nothing for me beyond that. But sometimes you don't need more. 3.0*.
