"A boy and a girl---alone against a ship full of mutineers. High adventure on the high seas, with the great star of romance leading the way."

Joel and Priscilla have been in love since childhood. Mark tells everyone that he is going to marry Priscilla, while Priscilla has never been asked or given permission. Joel and Mark both go on a trip to Singapore, but Joel is the only one who returns. He is immediately accused of deliberately leaving Mark behind and is sent to prison.
