Eye of the Dolphin plot
"She found her voice in the ocean... And within herself."
Fourteen-year-old Alyssa has been living with her grandmother Lucy since her mother's death a year ago. It was a difficult year for both and Lucy decides that Alyssa should live with her father in the Bahamas. For her father, who owns a dolphin research center, his daughter's visit is very inconvenient, as he is very busy with politicians and other "experts" who want to turn the reserve into a tourist attraction. Soon Alyssa gets used to island life and develops the same gift as her father: communicating with dolphins.
