The Snow Queen plot

Gerda and her mother take care of the penniless vagrant Kay. It is the beginning of a magical adventure. On a cold winter evening, Kay is enchanted by the Snow Queen. She lures him to her palace in the icy north. Gerda sets out to rescue her boyfriend. Faith, love and courage guide her on a perilous quest through all manner of strange lands.
