The film doesn't quite know which way to go. Some drama about the PR character Pacino, a thriller story about Téa Leoni, some melodrama with Kim Basinger, here and there a hidden touch of humor... By the way, Pacino is not bad here, although he is not always as pleasant to look at as he is sick movie character. Once the story is going it's not too bad, but you expect more all the time. Each scene again you hope for more to come and you stay hungry. A bit of a failure as a film, but thanks to some nice elements it is still wearable to watch. Certainly not top notch.

For me the 2nd sighting of People I Know.

Beautiful portrait of a publicity whore. Someone who has sold his soul to the devil and yes, why. He has forgotten that over the years. Now all he does is lick.
Al Pacino plays this confused man with gusto.

In his desperation, he finally has a goal in mind into which he can throw himself wholeheartedly. Whatever he does without compromise.
Actually, that's pretty nice.

I also like the game between Kim Basinger and Pacino. lovely. Full of melancholy. Very special.

It is striking that the film was made quite recently because it seems very old.

The ending of the f f I find very fitting. Black gallig, sure. But all right if you consider the person Eli Wurman.

Lucky that Pacino still participates in this film, because otherwise there is not much to see... Pacino plays his part well and plays with a lot of conviction. Everything else was pretty mediocre. The story starts off slow, but never really picks up the pace. Once it gets a little more interesting, the movie is basically done. This is well illustrated by the ending, which I found rather on the weak side.

Sorry, I'm a little bit hungry.
