Hehe, put it on during dinner and I couldn't take it off. Speaks in favor of this film. Maybe it's because I'm a bit tired and don't feel like doing other commitments I still have tonight

I now also know why I watch so little TV, I am really disturbed by all the advertising. You used to use that to take a piss or make coffee. Today, this seems to be geared towards incontinent elderly people with a caffeine addiction.

Anyway, this film is more of the same but slightly less fresh than the (brilliant) original. I find the first JP not only very well made and exciting, but also genius for 2 reasons:

1 - that it still looks SUBLIME after 20 years

2 - that the movie was a huge hype in terms of merchandise, dino dolls. So people have become very rich with this. Cool!

Part III is, for a third part, surprisingly good and above all quite exciting. That's because a fairly large group of people are going on the island (and you know that fewer are going to leave the island). The effects are just good. Dinosaurs look good, but in my opinion a little less than in part 1 (but that could also be a sentimental memory). I don't know much about part II yet, I'll review it soon.

Didn't disappoint, 3.5 stars!

Low point of the series.

Where The Lost World already focused a bit more on the action instead of the combination action/adventure, this is even more the case in the third part. In essence, the entire film consists of a sequence of scenes in which the cast runs away from one or more dinosaurs. Now I'll be the last to say that every movie should have a great story or deep character development, but Jurassic Park III barely offers anything to make up for those flaws. A predictable build-up, poorly portrayed and irritating characters, stupid humor, dinosaurs that look worse eight years after the original than then and actually not a single memorable moment.

Oh, and putting the T-Rex into an extra role and then making him an easy prey is of course completely unforgivable. 1.5*.

A film that is a bit disappointing after review. It is a very simple action film in which mainly large dinosaurs hunt people and a simple plot is incorporated to make it a whole.

I have to say it's all quite entertaining, especially if this were a standalone movie, but the two movies before have also shown that you should stay as far away from dinosaurs as possible. This movie is no different. Since the second part didn't really bring anything innovative, no effort has been made to come up with anything original here.

The cast tries to make the most of it, it's nice to see Sam Neill again, but they can't take this movie to the next level either.

Half reduction, 2.5*
