Norwegian war refugee Karen Benson arrives at an Idaho ski resort to meet her sponsor Tom Scott, the pianist of Phil Corey's big band, for the first time. She plans to win the heart of Tom. However, Tom has just proposed to the band's solo singer, Vivian Dawn. When the band gets a gig in Sun Valley and Karen decides to travel with them, the problems begin.
