This mix of action, fantasy, adventure and Jason Statham is based on a computer game and that rarely makes for a good movie.
The story revolves around Farmer (Jason Statham), a humble family man trying to find his kidnapped wife. He also wants to take revenge on the Krugs, the animal warriors who killed his son.
The film (Uwe Boll's own version of "The Lord of the Rings") is directed by Uwe Boll, who isn't exactly known for making masterpieces, although I think he is of his Action/Drama film "Rampage (2009)". Also this movie is, thanks to the woody acting cast (including not least actors and actresses such as Jason Statham, Leelee Sobieski, Ron Perlman, Kristanna Loken, Ray Liotta and Burt Reynolds), not exactly high.
It's awe-inspiring how, despite a $60 million budget, every aspect of this Fantasy/Adventure movie has failed, from script and acting to editing and music. The film was nominated for five "Golden Raspberry's" at the time and won the award for worst director.

How bad was this.. man man
I don't know what Statham had smoked that he signed for this. Bad acting, weak story and cringe-inducing scenes with forest elves swinging vines arriving. This was really just laughable and it looked more like a bad comedy than an action movie.
