Winds of Chance plot
Pierce Philips (Ben Lyon) enters the Alaska gold rush, but loses everything playing. He finds work as a parcel carrier for Countess Courteau (Anna Q. Nilsson) and a romance develops between the two. When she admits to being in a relationship after some time, Pierce returns to Dawson and finds a job there. He is arrested for robbing Count Courteau, but the Countess exonerates him. When the count is subsequently murdered, Pierce is also accused of this.
