Tom Ward (William Haines) has just finished college, but all he seems to have learned is to be offensive and obnoxious. To spend more time with Mary (Leila Hyams), he leaves his job at Sutton & Co. and eventually gets fired. After Tom loses his father, the care of the family rests on his shoulders and he will have to change his behavior and attitude.
