The Fog plot
"Their PAST Has Come Back To HAUNT THEM"
The story tells of the strange mist that overtook and sunk a ship in Antonio Bay a hundred years ago. At midnight on the celebration of the centenary of the port town of Antonio Bay, appliances suddenly start working and vibrations are created. A fog bank also appears off the coast from which the ghosts of crews who died in 1880 come who want to take revenge on the town.

This is the umpteenth confirmation that there is still very little in the way of the horror genre. The original by Carpenter was a small masterpiece, but this is a colorless and above all saltless intention. Everything is much less than in the original film and a creative addition is nowhere to be seen.

Good example of a soulless remake. Many horror classics have since been misused to bring in some quick cash and this version of The Fog is simply one of them. I can't think of a single reason why you should see this instead of the original. This print looks especially cheap and atmospheric. There is simply no way to compete with Carpenter with these means. In addition, I find it just laughable that people keep throwing the annoying teenagers into the fray. If you don't even bother to create some depth, then I don't need it anymore.
