Broken Flowers plot

"Sometimes life brings some strange surprises"

Don Johnston, in his fifties, has been through a lot of women, and he's about to get dumped by his current, many years younger lover (Julie Delpy). Shortly afterwards, he receives a mysterious letter informing him that he has a son, once fathered by one of his former girlfriends. Sender unknown. Spurred on by his neighbor Winston (Jeffrey Wright), who sees this surprising turn in Don's life as one big adventure, he decides to travel across the US to tell his exes. The unexpected visits to these four women will turn out to be completely different, but by confronting his past, Don also realizes what kind of man he really is.

A charming movie. Well played and a fun and entertaining story from start to finish, easy to look at and very funny at times. I like the music and the characters appeal to me. Liked to see! 4*

Prima Jarmusch with an excellent Bill Murray as a woman conqueror who is gradually getting older, but is suddenly confronted with his past. The biggest plus is that Jarmusch, as expected, does not tread the beaten track of the romantic happy feeling.

In his own casual style of drama and a touch of humor, he has the character Don Johnston track down some old friends. There, too, he notes that life went on and occasionally leaves its mark. One of them has since passed away, he concludes.

The plot is slow, but given enough time and space to be told. A film in which the main character contemplates his life and determines that everything is fleeting and he decides to himself that he has only dabbled in it. The film is by no means philosophical, on the contrary, but it is a role that suits Murray. Great ending also that does not go as you would expect in many other films.
