1919, Crónica del Alba plot
In an atmosphere of political unrest and social decline, José Garcés develops, a 15-year-old adolescent who begins to discover the disappointments and also the pleasures of life. The ruined family abandons him, while he works as a clerk in a pharmacy, where the particularly enigmatic characters pass by. There, in the dark back room of the store, Garcés also discovers sexual love in Isabelita's arms. She is the stepdaughter of a mysterious and menacing revolutionary, a maid for whom "fidelity does not exist", and who sees in her lover the possibility to flee her life, which is already scarred because she will end up as a "whore in Barcelona".
