Democratic Party leader dies in a car accident a week before the election. Immediately an internal power struggle breaks out within the party. The party is the largest in the country, so the party leader will probably become Prime Minister. A young journalist gets a scoop, but soon discovers he's being used as a pawn in a smear campaign against one of the candidates. If he speaks out against this, he is fired. He decides to expose the truth himself...
