I laughed a lot and sometimes felt crooked. I think they were looking for bad, campy, funny shit just a little too hard and that's why it didn't work. Forced story with a beautiful Denise Richards. You know that some scenes have to come and they play with that by making it slightly different. for example, to play some kind of strange hints game with that dinosaur. I didn't see that coming straight away.

In Tammy and the T-Rex the name of the black sheriff is Black. An easy and bad joke. However, it is one of the better jokes in the film, as it turns out. That of course says a lot about the level of the film. The low (comic) level is not surprising. If you read the premise, you already know. A mechanical dinosaur with a human brain goes in search of a new body for the brain together with his friends. The dino is brought to life with animatronics and stop motion. The animatronics are doable. The stop motion looks sloppy and clumsy instead of impressive.

Tammy and the T-Rex is an annoying family film. No nice characters and a story that you can already fill in in broad outlines. No tension. Infantile humor too, as already mentioned. I read that there would be a brutal and bloody version of the film. I can hardly imagine that. Although I have to admit that some jokes are on the edge of being decent. It is quite possible that the indecent one-liners were cut from the film. The same could apply to the special effects. They are fairly innocent and more laughable than shocking. It is quite possible that here too they have cut something in order not to shock the tender souls of children too much.

Denise Richards did a nice job and some effects were ok. None of the jokes did anything to my laughing muscles. Terrible movie. And leave that hard and brutal version alone.
