Nice yet predictable horror comedy with some great special effects. Judge remains my favorite but also Coombs as the FBI agent with Hitler hair who was abused as a sex slave by a cult in his youth
is really an extreme nut. I know of few movies where humor and horror are so nicely intertwined. And then there's Ermey, the eternal drill sergeant, who ensures order and peace even after his death. A little too scary for the youngest though. The Frighteners is still doing well with me almost a quarter of a century later. There's a four in this.

The Frighteners wasn't really my thing for me without spending a lot of words on it. The setting, attention to the story and acting were fine, but I found it all too messy.
