"Would you sell your soul for a date with Laurie Petler? Henry Spooner did."

Jerry is sent by the devil to win the soul of 17-year-old Henry by making him one of the most popular boys in the school. Even the most desirable girl sees him now. But the more new friends Henry makes, the further he drifts away from his best friend. Meanwhile, Jerry's secretary finds evidence that even the devil's best agent is not infallible.
