Les Fugitifs plot
Bank robber Jean Lucas (Gérard Depardieu) wants to start a new life after five years in prison. When he goes to the bank as an honest customer, it is ambushed by the amateurish François Pignon (Pierre Richard), who takes Lucas as a hostage of all people. While the police are convinced that Lucas is again the culprit, he tries to figure out how to get rid of Pignon.

Very funny start but then it becomes a bit too sentimental and the clichés appear en masse.
Still, overall a funny film with the incorrigible duo Depardieu-Richard.

I gave this one a try and I thought it was quite enjoyable. It started off quite funny, but the rest was also quite good. The cast did a great job, and I also thought the music was worth mentioning.
The story isn't difficult to follow, but it is entertaining. The running time is also good, not too long and not too short.
A nice movie to see once.

A 1986 film starring Gerard Depardieu. That was the main reason I wanted to see it. It starts off surprisingly funny, too. After that, the story and the film falter somewhat, but it remains an enjoyable film and easy to watch. Although, the credibility is a bit lacking. But that's not so much of a problem in a film like this.
