The Dukes of Hazzard plot
"Cousins. Outlaws. Thrillbillies."
At first glance, everything is quiet in Hazzard County, but looks can be deceiving. Boss Hogg plans to turn Hazzard into a mine, but Bo and Luke want to stop it, with help from Cooter, Uncle Jessie and most importantly Daisy's charms.

Mediocre. I used to follow The Dukes of Hazzard a bit, but I've never really been a fan of the material. Scott and Knoxville are well matched, and the car chases are the best scenes in the film. But that also says something about the characters and the script. Jessica Simpson can't act, but as Daisy Duke she is a bright spot...

Second Chandrasekhar.
So far I think he's a real director who refuses to stick to just one genre. The previous film I saw of him was a combination of horror and comedy, this time comedy is taken and connected with action. No really spectacular parts, but a pace that rages as fast as the cars in the film.
Let me get straight to the point; the comedy within this film isn't exactly strong. I didn't find that with Chandrasekhar's other film either, but it's exactly the same with this film. Some scenes especially work because of the complete rudeness. Once the film really focuses on the situations themselves, the funny parts come out, but when it comes to the actors, little comes of it.
The finale has enough spectacular stunts to blow it up nicely as a whole to a decent enough, but on the other hand, this is more of a movie that you look back on and think there was a cool stunt with a car in it, not a strong story or great acting. It looks away too quickly for an unsatisfactory score and the pace is high, but the content is obviously not brilliant.
