Even less than the fifth part (Rave to the Grave). Very standard and predictable zombie movie with annoying characters and some very annoying scenes. Nothing compared to the first three Return of the Living Dead films...

2 very small stars for just that little bit of entertainment.

Not nearly as bad as I expected. Of course, a group of wisecracking teenagers is the least you want in a zombie movie. Rude people who always make the wrong choices and whose guns are always empty at the wrong time. Nevertheless, this fourth part is entertaining. There's enough action and gore to satisfy me. Not a winner or anything like that, but a nice snack. Part five then?

Director Ellory Elkayem continues the tone of the previous part, making Necropolis a lot more serious than the first two parts. Yet there is a healthy dose of camp mixed in, which certainly comes in handy in the more explosive second half. After a while the valve is removed and the focus is almost exclusively on entertaining rain of bullets and bloody scenes. It compensates to some extent for the boring run-in and poor acting. In terms of content, this film is not exactly original or striking, so there is little to gain from other areas. Thanks to the short playing time, Necropolis is quite entertaining, but will definitely not leave a lasting impression.
