top comedy, especially for that time
really laughed at Tracy. The 1991 remake can't match this, even if it's fun too.

Good film in which a father is not too happy when he hears that his only daughter is getting married. Enough entertaining scenes in which the father is not prepared for the operation called marriage. But at the same time here and there also sincere and bittersweet. The film is also excellently cast. Easily 3.5 stars.

entertaining film but also makes it painfully clear at times that marriage itself is primarily intended for the woman.
the man has more or less an almost insignificant supporting role .
It is strange that the groom's parents are quickly pushed into the background completely.
Tracy steals the show again in his performance .
