Fairly successful thriller by Van Gogh about a conspiracy theory surrounding the murder of Pim Fortuyn. The plot itself may not be very strong and the acting performances are not always up to par. Yet it is a film that manages to captivate, probably partly due to the impact of the murders on Fortuyn and Van Gogh. The directing and camera work are also of a good standard. Highly recommended if you want to see a Dutch political conspiracy thriller. 3.5*

Wow it was fun. It was shot suspiciously cheaply and unfortunately the film often gets long-winded. I also didn't really like Thijs Romer and it doesn't really refer to the murder of Pim Fortuyn anymore. Because there is also a lot of drama and love scenes involved. The thriller content is also not really exciting, a bit too typical. The film does have its beautiful locations and moments every now and then, but it was a bit too amateurish and long-winded for me. Unfortunately.
