AmnesiA plot
Alex (Fedja van Huêt) is a twenty-eight-year-old photographer who, for mysterious reasons, is no longer able to photograph people. When his twin brother Aram (a double role of Fedja van Huêt) calls him unexpectedly because their mother is seriously ill, he leaves for the family estate AmnesiA. On the way, the girl Sandra appears to be in his car. At home, tensions between Aram and Alex are rising. A dark secret turns out to be the cause of the bad brotherhood. In addition, there is also Aram's companion, Wouter (Theo Maassen), who was injured during a shadowy deal.

Finally a Dutch film that is different from the average Dutch film that is usually all Deja Vu. At first I expected Amnesia to make this a seriously dark lynch-like film. Is it also at certain moments, but they have poured a good dash of sharp humor into it. Which doesn't take away from the fact that I also had a hearty laugh about it. Perhaps I took the term Lynch a bit too literally. Location is unfortunately a bit monotonous, but ok. I really liked the double role of Fredja van Huet as that twin brother. Mainly because of the big difference between the two and the fact that Aran actually doesn't like Alex at all. In between, Carice van Houten played really well again, but wasn't that a chimera/imaginary woman? Because she was so suddenly in that car with Alex. And Theo Maassen is there for the comedic side, he also had a very nice presence with his long hair. 
And that stubborn mother of course. The story on the other hand is also told in an exciting way and it really goes from particle to particle. So the facts always leave them out and at the end we get a chilling climax, which is indeed Lynch-esque. And you are still left with questions. Very clever for a Dutch film.
Yes, this is something else again.

Nice movie. The story is not bad, but it is especially the humor and fun scenes that make this above average worthwhile. The acting is also very strong. Not much to complain about, although the flashbacks were spread over the playing time for a very long time, without you learning anything new in quite a few of them.
Doubt between 3.5 and 4 stars. Had a great time. And now look for Chinese beer.
