Julia's Geheim plot
The Turkish Arzu (Funda Müjde), a student at a Dutch secondary school, is chosen to play the role of Juliet in a theater performance of 'Romeo and Juliet', which is organized at the school. She is very obsessed with the role, in which she recognizes parallels with her own life. Her parents want to marry her off to a boy from Turkey whom she has never seen. With the rehearsals a nerve-racking double life begins for Arzu. At home nobody knows about her stage activities and when her father finally finds out, he takes her away from school and brings forward his daughter's wedding date. Nevertheless, the school superiors manage to convince the parents to let Arzu play her part. The father watches the premiere with mixed feelings and recognizes himself in the mirror held up to him...
