I don't think this needs to be suggested yet. Very good comedy under the "money doesn't buy happiness" motto. It was already laughing with Murphy when he tries to convince 2 cops that he fought in Vietnam... I was Agent Orange!! Also the whole farce about the change of place between the rich Winthorpe and the bum Billy Ray is a catchy idea. Also laughing with Aykroyd as psycho Santa and the gorilla joke. This remains a very nice comedy with simple effective jokes that I do not find as bland here. And Curtis's nice tits come as a bonus. Personally I think this Murphy is the best in its early days. After the 90s, he couldn't care less... Ameche and Bellamy when the two old misers are missed. Without them this film would not have been what it is.

Solid.

Trading Places is, despite the somewhat dusty look, a great viewer. Eddie Murphy provides a natural swing in counterplay with Dan Aykroyd, who in my opinion is really not a comedic talent. The Christmas setting stays in the background for a change and stands in stark contrast to the humor that sometimes comes across as straightforward. There is no shortage of fucks and every now and then something naked even passes by. Well, as a comedy it's still just fine. The situational humor is okay, but it's mostly a feel-good movie. At least I haven't seen any hilarious scenes.
