I do not agree with the above findings. The distance between the wedding and darkness, death, is precisely what Marcin Wrona intended. The contrast that is not bridged. Quite macabre in light of the director's suicide.

“Where is the bridge,” the groom asks when he arrives at the ferry. Well, he makes an attempt, digs into the hidden past and confronts the in-laws and the wedding guests through possession. However, they do not want to spoil the party and lock him up and erase all traces afterwards.

Don't see it as horror, but as mystery.

An intriguing, somber thriller with creepy undertones, in which director Marcin Wrona occasionally depicts a convincing escalation. The downside of Demon is that the main characters aren't very entertaining, making it difficult to empathize with them. The buildup is brief, and before that, Wrona gives you little reason to even remember a name, but he nevertheless sets the essential events in motion in a captivating way. A number of well-acted confrontations and the stable mystery alone easily guarantee a passing grade, despite the somewhat strange resolution. Unfortunately, this concise but ambitious project was Wrona's last film. He took his own life shortly after production.
