The Patriot plot

"These characters will fascinate you!"

The dramatic demise of the insane Russian Tsar Paul I is portrayed in an eighteenth-century setting. Except for his confidant, Count Pahlen, the paranoid Tsar trusts no one. The count, however, can no longer bear to see the poverty among the Russian population and, he of all people, then plots a plot against Paul I.
