Weak, predictable rom-com that just won't be funny. Even BB seriously lets us down this time. Small role for Mireille Darc. Mediocre.

BB #28

Encore des photographs!

BB in a Citroën 2CV – a real one, with a wrinkled hood and rocker suspension. The traffic in Paris, with the officer in a Crabtree uniform. The cake. The old go-karts, with the matching old overalls and helmets. La Bamba.

Other than that, it is a funny video, but on the other hand, not very remarkable. The infamous dance is completely insignificant; the footage is so blurry that nothing but a vague shape remains. Whereas BB skips through the frame in her bare buttocks without any shame in a few other scenes—that, apparently, could be done without any fuss.

The first since BB #20 Les Bijoutiers where Vadim is back in charge of the direction, and it works a lot better than that film – but still nowhere near EDCLF. For Vadim, that is; BB had long since surpassed that level by this time.

As a film perhaps not very remarkable, but certainly – especially in the beginning – a very beautiful portrayal of Paris at that time. Very enjoyable to watch; even after nearly thirty BB films in a row, I still don't get tired of it.
