Taxi plot
Daniel is a pizza delivery man in Marseille. He changes jobs and becomes a taxi driver. When he's caught for speeding, he agrees to help the bumbling police officer Emilien. Emilien is on the trail of a group of German bank robbers.

“C'est parti!”
Nice. Taxi is a fast-paced and exciting action comedy that never slows down. Not all jokes are equally strong, but I laughed a lot and that's what matters in the end. Naceri and Diefenthal are a strong duo, and Taxi's greatest strength lies in their interplay of bickering and ferocity. And with Marion Cotillard you can never go wrong. The pace is fast, the dialogues are sharp and the actors radiate fun. Taxi is an example for many action comedies, and the film manages to entertain the viewer without being overly pretentious. Mission accomplished.

Not special.
The idea is still okay, and the film is presented quite smoothly and entertainingly, but then most of the good points have already been mentioned. This film from French soil entertains, and I think that's just about the goal.
In terms of action, it is mainly racing action, the taxi scenes are fun for example, but the crime-like story around it is pretty stupid and pretty standard. Sometimes it was refreshingly comical and the film in general remains fascinating.
Acting outside Naceri is not very special and sometimes even mediocre, but the film remains smooth and that brings the rating to 2.5 * for me. I would have liked many more scenes with the fast taxi car.
