A somewhat entertaining film with Elvis again set in Hawaii, due to the great success of Blue Hawaii. Nice songs, nice jokes but nothing very special. The film heads towards a rather abrupt and cheap ending. Average.

Presley is (yet again) a pilot in (yet again) Hawaii where he (as always) flirts with some pretty girls and (as always) plays quite a few (as always) largely lame songs, including 'A dog's life', 'Dating ' and 'Drums of the island'. Completely formulaic pulp full of beautiful pictures of Hawaii, but there is hardly any plot. It is only in the last half hour that something of a story can be discerned. Nevertheless, Betty Kohana is charming as the girl Jan, who (also) contributes to a number of songs.

Third and final Elvis film set in Hawaii. At this stage of his career you can see how much it all depends on routine. The story develops according to the known formula with known elements. This time, I think the romantic affair is a bit underdeveloped. But the biggest drawback is the vocal contribution of child actress Donna Butterworth. But all in all, there is still plenty to enjoy with El's natural charisma, the locations, some songs (you have to be for easy listening) and luckily it doesn't last too long. Routine but still fun enough.
