La Finestra di Fronte plot
"Desire knows no bounds."
The still young Giovanna has been married for nine years to the much too good-looking Filippo in her eyes. She divides her time between working at the chicken slaughterhouse, looking after her two children and baking cakes for a local cafe. She gets an extra headache when one day Filippo takes home an old gentleman who has lost his memory. Completely against her will at first, Giovanna spends more and more time with the man, discovering more and more facts about his mysterious past: through the number tattooed on his forearm, through his skill in baking cakes, through the increasingly recurring name Simone. At the same time, Giovanna is also increasingly annoyed by the passive Filippo and projects her own desires onto the unknown neighbor whom she spies through her kitchen window. As her daydreams become reality, the ghosts of the old man's past also take shape more and more clearly.
