"Terror Has a Reflection All its Own."

Unfortunately, the mirror comes from the legendary Amityville house and will drive anyone who looks at it long enough insane.

Unfortunately again a mediocre part. After the consistent start, the Amityville series is now starting to feel very disjointed. I had nothing at all to do with the setting and the world of the city's artists. The film also contains far too much drama and horror is pushed to the background. Hopefully the last part will be a bit better.

2*

Poor draft.

After a somewhat nice start, things quickly get going. A new generation, an apartment and some incoherent nonsense - which must refer to the original story - also fail to entertain. Not even as pulp. Blaxploitation star Roundtree also adds very little to this umpteenth ridiculous part of the endless horror series, in which the gore is sparse.

Mediocre.

Elongated horror series regularly deviate more and more from the basic formula and A New Generation, the seventh part, is no exception. In the meantime, we have reached the level where the original haunted house only appears in visions and mirror images, so fans will not experience much horror in that regard. The first half hour of this film is nevertheless quite entertaining, especially because Julia Nickson's acting is quite solid. It's a pity that she is killed again after half an hour and then Ross Partridge is given preference. Soon after, the film descends into a kind of psychological character study, but not one that becomes anywhere interesting. The flashbacks stretch time and the horror remains remarkably limited, only in the last 10 minutes do the noteworthy moments carefully come into view again. Of course, you bring trouble upon yourself when you make a horror film rely heavily on actors/actresses who don't act very well.
