"His dreams control our destiny, but who controls his dreams?"

In a futuristic world, George Orr suffers from dreams. To counteract this, he steals medicines. When he is arrested for this, he is sentenced to voluntarily seek help from a dream psychiatrist. He believes that what he dreams actually come true and so every time he wakes up the world has changed.
