The Interview plot

"Two minds... one truth"

Eddie is a nondescript, simple character. That changes when he is brutally lifted from his bed one morning and interrogated in a dark room. When it turns out that he is suspected of a murder, he comes under great tension.

Nice.

I found the first half of the film particularly interesting. After that, the story becomes increasingly unbelievable due to a few illogical and abrupt transitions. I also thought the ending was anything but strong.

Pros: attractively shot and solid acting. 5/10*.

Surprisingly strong. The title alone reveals a one-sided location and then you know that it has to rely on the story and the atmosphere. That works fine. The transition from desperation to takeover is interesting. It seems unbelievable, but it is actually understandable. The head and attitude of the interrogator is strong and contributes to credibility. I'm not a fan of Weaving, but it gradually becomes clear that he plays really strongly/naturally here. The viewer remains somewhat in the dark left and right, but towards the end (b)we seem to be dealing with a Usual Suspects idea.
Anyway, great compelling film, I'll round it up (7.5)
